Which would be the distance from the ground to the level string, measured from the low point. The ground looks level but in reality it varies slightly at various points. I never done this myself. I have used a bucket with water and a tube to level an area. Just thought to clarify what you did. Hi, May I ask where you purchased the soil from? I have looked at Lowes and Home Depot but all they have is for gardening. I would assume any garden center in your area would allow you to buy dirt by the cubic yard.
